our wedding day was the best day of my life. i took my dad’s arm, and with tears in my eyes, i met you at the alter to promise forever. i thought i loved you then.

the day we saw those two pink lines, we hugged in the kitchen, and talked about our dreams as a family. but soon, those two pink lines vanished, and you comforted me as i cried tears of sorrow, blaming myself. i thought i loved you then.

when this part time photography business turned into an adventure of a lifetime, we saw our albums fill up with adventures we couldn’t believe were happening. i thought i loved you then.

fifty years from now, with albums on our coffee table and pictures on our walls, we will see the legacy of love we created, the adventures we had, the tears we cried. and, i will laugh because, i thought i loved you then.
