This past weekend, Wilson and I packed our bags and flew to Washington, D.C. Washington, D.C. was a little bitter sweet, because it was supposed to be our babymoon. We debated on even taking the trip at times, because we lost our little girl just a short while ago due to Turner’s Syndrome; but, we decided that the trip would still be fun, and would take our minds off of everything that has happened recently.
Our Washington, D.C. Highlights:
-Exploring the Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, and The National Archives was such an adventure! My absolute favorite part was seeing the Lincoln Memorial at night-it is so much bigger in person, than in photos on the internet.
-Touring The White House. Yes, we spent a hour going through security just for a thirty minute tour, but it was so worth it to see such a historical place. I loved seeing the portraits of old presidents, and walking through all of the rooms.
-Meeting my cousin Taylor at a Spanish restaurant called La Tasca. I have not seen Taylor since the wedding; plus, the Spanish cuisine was magnificent.
-Riding my first Uber. Yes friends, I have never Ubered (is that even a word?) until this past weekend.
Obviously, Washington, D.C. is worth a visit! Below are my favorite D.C. photos.
