This fall season for Rebecca Hicks Photography has been a busy blessing. My husband and I went to Charleston the weekend after Thanksgiving for some much needed relaxation before the holiday rush. As a South Carolina native, people think it is amazing that I have never been to this beautiful city before; and, as I am shooting some weddings there next year, I thought I should go scope it out. I am so glad I did!
When we arrived on Friday, we went to King Street to do some much needed shopping, then headed to Hyman’s for dinner. I know it is a main tourist attraction, but I can’t help myself from being a little touristy sometimes. That was the first time ever my dinner consisted of a whole entire fish {besides the head of course}!
On Saturday, our day started with a shoot trade with Captured By Kaitlin Rose. In order to not just get a bunch of selfies on vacation, I did a shoot trade with Kaitlin. I loved being able to take her headshots, while she captured our memories in the most beautiful city. After we hit up the local Moes, then watched football. A perfect Southern Saturday!
On Sunday, after walking around downtown, we left pretty early in order to beat the traffic into Greenville. I must say, I can’t believe it took me this long to visit this awesome city! I can’t wait to be back!
#rebilsontravels will be going to Orlando and the Bahamas {Nassau, Freeport} soon, and I can’t wait to share it with y’all!
xoxo, rebecca
